This point of this challenge, which was created by [info]bondchick_nett , is to create 26 unique sims named for each letter of the alphabet. At the conclusion of the challenge we are to take all of the sims and create a set of default face templates from them. The point is to improve your sim making skills, as well as get more awesome default face templates and sims out there in the world. With [info]bondchick_nett 's express permission I have decided to participate in this challenge. I have decided to start at both ends of the alphabet and work in towards the middle. No matter what I will always post 2 sims, so as to not get lopsided in my trek towards the middle of the alphabet. Currently my sim making skills are quite rudimentary, but I am hoping with time I will be able to create more and more unique sims. So without further ado...

For a while now I have been wanting to make a list of all my favorite legacies that I think everyone should read.  Some of these legacies are my the reason I decided to become so active on LJ.  Many of them are the reason I made contact with some people and now have a great group of friends I couldn't live without.  And some are simply awesome legacies that you seriously need to read.  Remember, this isn't a complete list of all the legacies I frequent, so if you aren't on here, don't worry.  You can just send me a message and I will surely add you to the list.  I read so many it would be impossible to get them all in one go.

So without further ado, let us begin.

Wotching the Wotchers by [info]lauriethemuppet - One of the legacies that drove me to get into simming on LJ.  I love her commentary style, all the awesome alien genetics and the fact that she names all her characters after characters from her Harry Potter role playing.  Plus Laurie is just insanely awesome and I love everything she does.

The Rowan Legacy by [info]simsforaranya - Again one of the legacies that pushed me to post my own legacies.  All of her sims are seriously the most adorable and gorgeous sims ever.  This legacy just hit it's 10th generation so there is A LOT of legacy to go back and read.  And the best part is she is going to continue playing them despite being done with the 10 generations.  Plus Rachel is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

The Kohler-Wielle Legacy and Cullen the Herd by [info]bondchick_nett - Anything this girl writes is solid gold.  And she is nearly 100% responsible for The Starling Legacy as she is the creator of the wonderful Goldie.  She is also working on tons of other projects including a few round robin legacies (which I am participating in), recolouring hairs and making tons and tons of awesome simmies.  All her stuff can be found at [info]fightocrime .

Pot O' Gold Awesomesauce Legacy
by [info]brilliantcat - I love anything that Cat does but I particularly love her newish legacy, the POGS.  I am not sure if it is 'cause they are an Awesomesauce (which I helped to create), because they are abbreviated as POGS, or if because Cat is just so awesome.  I think it's all the above.  Cat also makes GORGEOUS sims so be sure to check her out.

The Dork Legacy by [info]katu_sims - One of the funniest legacies out there.  Her naming scheme(s) are hilarious, her sims are always unique, yet awesome looking.  Her commentary is witty as hell and she is a genuinely awesome person.

The Pokemon Legacy by [info]simppl_life / [info]javabean_dreams - A legacy with sims named after Pokemon.  How can you go wrong?  Seriously.  Steffi has strong and witty commentary, awesomely unique looking sims and a love for all things Maxis Match, which you don't see very often in legacies.  I promise you wont be bored with her Pokemons!

The Lee Legacy
by [info]kharmakick - I absolutely adore how unique Kharma's sims look.  They are distinctly unique looking yet still beautiful.  Plus she has wonderful graphics, excellent picture taking abilities and fun commentary.  She is currently on generation 6 so there is tons to read!

The Miller Legacy by [info]fantasyrogue - FR hasn't updated the Millers in a while but that doesn't mean it still isn't one of the most amazingly awesome legacy out there.  The Miller Legacy is home to the loveable Castor Miller and the evil mastermind of Flash Miller.  I am always hoping for an update from her, but until there is one, I will just go back and reread all the old entries, that is how good it is.

The Darwin Legacy
by [info]stakeit_uk - I aspire to be a legacy writer as great as this guy.  He has one of the greatest legacies to ever grace LJ.  They are long over now, but it is still worth going back and re-reading.  Plus he hinted at the fact that he might be resurrecting them which makes me squeal with delight like a little school girl.

The Spencer Legacy by [info]ferretsims - Another old legacy but still amazing and fantastic.  Max Spencer is on par with Castor Miller as one of the craziest, awesomest supernatural sims to grace the simming world.  Ferret's commentary is amusing and witty and will definitely bring the lols.

The O'brien Legacy by [info]radiationpoison - Cameron O'brien is sex in sim form.  You look at him and your are instantly drooling with desire.  Plus Amanda's writing is never boring and will keep you entertained as you read through her currently, 9, generations.

~~~~~~~
I know there are many more that I read and adore, but these are just some of my favorite.  You are probably asking why I did this post.  First it was a way to keep track of ALL the legacies I read as I read so many.  Second, I know there are some people on my list who are always looking for new legacies to read and I thought I would point them to a few that I know are awesome and they will enjoy.  If you have any questions about any of the legacies, or would like to have your added, don't be afraid to ask.  This is just a rough list, so don't feel bad if yours isn't on here.  If you are on my friends list and you write a legacy, I read it. <33333333
Starling Legacy Archive
Header image created by the wonderfully talented [info]bondchick_nett .
Last time on the Starlings, after a long 5 month hiatus, we caught back up with our heir Drizella Starling who had just married Rhys Rowan ([info]simsforaranya ) and popped out three little cutelings, Nala, Gaston and Simba.  Nala was attempting to steal the hearts of everyone so that she would be chosen heir, but monkeys be damned, I was going to have a boy heir for once!  The question was, will it be the adorable Gaston, first male to be born in 2 generations, or his charming elf-eared brother, Simba?
And the epic battle for heir begins to get nasty... )
That would be Saffron Svanhild, a sim made by [info]lauriethemuppet .  She is seriously the most adorable sim ever!  And that would be one of the 3rd Generation Starling boys.  I won't tell you which one though if you are observant you will easily be able to figure it out. <3
